Join Oliveology and Lida Papamatthaiaki on Saturday 1st of June for our Summer Vegetarian Cooking Workshop.
June’s cooking workshop is honouring the Great Greek Summer! Greek summer is so much more than a season; it’s a state of mind. The abundance of fresh produce, the vibrant colours and flavours, eating al fresco! Going to food markets during this time of the year makes you blissfully happy -and fills you with dilemmas: strawberries or peaches, aubergines or artichokes?
Join our summer cooking workshop and let us take you to a glorious Greek island hopping. Cheeses from Naxos, rusks from Crete, wines from Tinos, mastiha from Chios and many more! Our resident chef –an island girl herself- will share some of her secrets to enjoy a flavourful summer.
A trained chef and anthropologist, Lida Papamatthaiaki focuses on food and senses. Lida has worked in professional kitchens in both Greece and London, and is also a consultant for artisan food companies. Lida is also a regular speaker and chef at global food conferences and culinary seminars, and she has been writing and developing recipes for Oliveology for the past five years. Lida has also worked in refugee kitchens in Greece.
At the course, which costs £65.00 for 3 hours, you will learn basic cooking skills, taste ingredients, prepare and cook a seasonal menu, which has been put together by Lida Papamatthaiaki, and participate in every step, from prepping ingredients to cooking and plating.
Each recipe will use seasonal, mostly organic produce and of course, oliveology products. You will also receive a 10% discount voucher for oliveology and our products.
At the end of the workshop we all sit around the table and share the food we’ve made!
