In this workshop students will be learning how to make three flavored halal extracts, Coconut Balls and Moroccan Briouats with ground lamb, raisins and almonds. Each student will take a bottle of extract home and taste the finished briouates.
Yvonne Maffei, a renowed cookbook author and expert on Halal food and cooking will also be hosting a discussion about ingredients in breads and baked goods that should be avoided for our health as well as to create a recipe that complies with halal dietary guidelines.
$25 each for an additional for autographed book, My Halal Cooking by Yvonne Maffei or Summer Ramadan Cooking. No book sales on-site.
